Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer, best known as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she launched her career as an actress on stage in Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. After that, she performed in a numerous Broadway shows before becoming one of the biggest stars on the national stage along with Li'l abner in 1957. In 1957, she launched her first album of music entitled It's time for Tina. Her first appearance in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda on God's Little Acre which was a 1959 drama. The film was met with wide applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for her performance in the New Star of the year category. During this time she began her studies at Actors Studio in New York and became acquainted with Lee Strasberg as his student. Her next memorable role came by way of 1964 when she signed with CBS to portray Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise was able to do a fantastic performance juggling Broadway and Hollywood. She was portrayed as a dark, contrasting characters to the glamorous doll she was seen as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1, and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. Recently, she's become a well-known director for the most popular TV shows, including Supernatural as well as The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on August 28, 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto when she was just three and she continued to live there throughout in the adolescent years and childhood. When she was selected for the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver at the age of 17 and is a resident of Vancouver ever since then.
